The Town Center Men’s Group spent the day preparing for the Chili Supper Friday night. They chopped onions, opened cans of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, pinto beans and red beans. After combining all the ingredients in the four crock pots, they were left to cook all day long in time for dinner at 5:00pm. The men offered two pots of chili with beans and two without…whatever the preference, all the chili was gone by the end of the evening! Residents topped their chili with raw chopped onions, grated cheese, fritos, oyster crackers, or saltine crackers. The dining room was packed with almost every resident eating a bowl of chili, many invited their families or friends. It was a fun evening for all!
