Town Center residents signed up for one of our special “Chef’s Night Out” events, which is offered every other month. Each meal is a 5-course dinner, including wines paired with some of the courses. The event accommodates twelve residents, first come-first serve, and an extra charge is required for this meal. The meal is accompanied by soft dinner music, candlelight, and fresh flowers. Our menu for June began with a Mixed Berry Spring Salad with Blueberry Vinaigrette, Candied Pecans, mixed fresh Berries, Feta Cheese and Toast Points. The starter was Drunken Shrimp, followed by an appetizer of Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus with Bernaise Sauce. The entrée was a Pan Seared N.Y. Strip with crispy shaved Onions, accompanied by sautéed Baby Carrots and twice-baked Potatoes. And for dessert, a decadent Mixed Berry Tartlet. Chef Chris received rave reviews all around for every course! The next Chef’s Night Out will expand to twenty guests. This has been such a successful event in the past that everyone is racing to sign up first, so Lloyd, our Director of Food Services, decided to increase the number going forward.
